Summary of the Book:
Incensed by the rapacious tactics of unseen, untraceable, and unprosecutable Russian hackers, Taryn Booker, a rising star at a prominent social media powerhouse, strikes back. Her actions, however, provoke a retaliatory firestorm of salacious kompromat that threatens her freedom and her career.
Mayar Tabak appears to be an unassuming undergrad from a moderate Muslim family in Brooklyn. Behind the screen of her laptop, however, she is an uber hacker, a mujahid intent on deploying a cyberbomb that could permanently cripple New York City’s electrical grid.
Taryn and Mayar risk their lives in a story that careens through the streets of Manhattan, Tel Aviv, and the West Bank. The clock is ticking with the future of New York City, if not the free world, at stake.
My Personal Review: I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. This thriller was a little too real. It took me on an amazing ride of great and well-developed characters and fantastic global adventure and fast paced plot. It kept me engaged from page one until the last. I had to know what happened. I read it in one setting. I would read more by this author. It is a book with a very heart pounding vibe.
My Rating of the Book: 5 Stars
