Summary of the Book:
Book 3 in the High School Magical series brings Maija and JJ together to defeat their enemies, bringing them closer together. Now, they face the biggest risk of all.
In the wake of disaster, the Applemoor community mourns—they’re upset, scared, and feeling helpless. That is until Maija has a powerful idea to combat the attacks by the Soul Snatchers. She must find a missing wand and a missing person, sending her to the underworld. Postcards from the trip would include the following highlights: lost items recovered, liminal being at risk, and matters of the heart aren’t only for the living.
Her return to campus doesn’t come with a warm welcome. Tension is higher than ever when the Marauders cause further division among students. If Maija were any other witch, she’d run for cover or the closest slice of apple pie. Instead, she urges everyone to band together, but arguments and suspicion tear the magical community apart.
The antidote is to form the Mavericks—an anti-secret society secret society. They must make a choice: freedom or fear. Flight or fight against Soul Snatchers and dark forces threatening campus and the magical world.
Courage guides the ultimate decision when Maija is kidnapped, the campus falls under siege, and a legendary witch shows her face after years of absence. It’s up to everyone to work together against the enemy, but only Maija can save her one true love.

My Personal Review: I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. There is a lot going on in this part of the book. It made my heart pound a few times as I was turning the pages to continue the story. I like how the relationship between Maija and JJ is moving along, but the twist and turns in this book had me wondering is there more to come and are there even more secrets that will come in Senior year. I have a lot of questions after I got to the end. I need more.
My Rating of the Book: 5 Stars
