Summary of the Book:

Music is Simon’s life—which is why he is devastated when a stroke destroys his hearing. He resists attempts to help him adjust to his new state, refusing to be counselled, refusing to learn sign-language, refusing to have anything to do with Deaf culture. Refusing, that is, until he meets G, a tough-as-nails girl dealing with her own newly-experienced deafness.

My Personal Review: I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. Musis is a lot of things to a lot of people. We each have our own loves, dislikes and playlists. The music for Simon is everything. It could be all slip right through his fingers because of the stroke that he suffered. He his having trouble dealing with the aftermath of the stroke that could be taking his hearing. He dealing with be deaf and he thinks that is going to make his identity as a musician. During his journey to rediscover himself he finds G and she is going through something similar. They have a relationship through text messages.
