How I Got the Book: Review Copy

Summary of the Book:

Four boys rule the halls of Coleridge: Cole, Lukas, Tanner, and Blake. They call themselves the Elites, and together they decide who deserves to be part of the upper echelon.

Two months ago they harassed my twin brother until he took his own life.

Now I’m going to take his place at the academy, and take my revenge on them one by one. I’ve been studying these boys for months. I know just exactly who and what they are—and how to destroy them.

But what if I’m wrong?

What if, in the middle of the storm, there’s a sharp, painful truth?

One I fear to face, because it might mean that my brother lived as he died: broken inside, and willing to hurt others.

Justice is a messy thing in the hands of a girl with nothing left to lose…

My Personal Review: I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. There is a lot going on in this first book of this series. Brenna is going to this academy to get revenge on four guys who she believes are responsible for the death/suicide of her twin brother Silas. Her actions a bit questionable in this book. I am all for a good revenge plot, but it has to be done in the right way. The writing is good, but Brenna does something along the way that make me question is she doing the right thing or going about this in the best way. We learn a lot about the guys and their way of doing things. But not everything is as it seems. I will have to see how the other books bring things to light.

My Rating of the Book: 4 Stars
